Peter, to be frank we haven't tested the transaction mediator with Geronimo, but it should work, without an issue. Ideally any AppServer with a transaction manager would be sufficient.

Hi Peter,

You need a transaction manager, to do anything with the transaction mediator. For the moment, we have to use an external transaction manager like the one shipped with JBOSS, but we are looking into a standalone implementation of the TransactionManager using Atomikos.

Interesting feature list. I am interested in the transactions specifically. I read somewhere, that you need a transaction manager, and that this can be solved using JBoss to run ESB. Is it also possible to do it differently? If no transaction manager is available, what does and does not work regarding the transaction mediator?
